As a passionate advocate for inspiring kids to get hands-on with cooking, We are now delighted to be partnering up with Gem for a series of Family Cooking Club ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ classes.

The Family Cooking Club puts a strong emphasis on getting kids into the kitchen to teach them lifelong cookery skills. It is designed to bring families of all ages together to interact and be part of an inclusive cooking community. 

For over 50 years, Gem has been bringing Irish families together to create something special in the kitchen using the finest of ingredients to inspire cooks and bakers of all ages.

Kicking off in January, We will be sharing a selection of mouth-watering recipes inspired by Gem’s well-loved range of ingredients. From chocolate chips and flaked almonds to desiccated coconut and delicious dried fruits, there is something sweet and savoury for everyone in the family to enjoy.

These exciting classes will take place via Zoom once a month on a Tuesday at 5pm (dates below) and will be led by mini-chef Lily Mae Cox, aged 9. They will include;

  • Katsu curry – 17th January 
  • Delicious fluffy pancakes – 21st February
  • Traditional sponge tray bake – 28th March
  • Homemade pizza – 25th April
  • Tandoori butter chicken – 23rd May
  • Moroccan style meatballs with homemade flat breads – 20th June.
