Making and eating you own salad requires a little adult supervision for our kids in the kitchen, but it is a fantastic practice to support independence.

Equipment

  • 1 Baking tray
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 Grater
  • 1 vegtable peeler
  • 1 Chopping board
  • 2 Bowls

Ingredients
  

Garlic Bread

  • 4 4 baguettes mini
  • 4 Cloves of garlic
  • 1 bunch fresh parsely
  • 100 g butter
  • 50 g cheaddar grated

Salad

  • 2 heads lettuce baby gem
  • 50 g cruttons
  • 50 g grapes
  • 50 g sweetcorn
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1/2 small cucumber
  • 1 tbsp mayonaise

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.
  • Make the garlic butter by peeling and crushing the garlic cloves, snipping the fresh parsley and mixing them all into the butter.
  • Cut the baguettes in half and spread with the garlic butter generously.
  • Sprinkle the grated cheddar on top, then bake them in the oven for 15 minutes.

Salad

  • While they are cooking make your side salad by
  • In a large mixing bowl cut up the 2 heads of baby gem lettuce with a scissors
  • Mix in croutons, corn,
  • When preparing grapes Cut them in half and then quarters lengthways Remove all seeds or pips for young toddlers. If your child is over 5 supervise when eating whole grapes.

  • with adult supervision slice the cucumber
  • Add a tablespoon of mayonaise
  • Mix and serve on the side of your Garlic Bread
