Pizza Doughnuts

we have a very exciting recipe coming up for this weeks class , Pizza Doughnuts
Its Exciting because two of our kids in the Kitchen came up with the Idea at last weeks Chicken Pot pie class ( you can watch the recording back) . Well done Matthew and Lilly!
I have tried the recipe out and it tastes amazing ! We are really looking forward to seeing you all a 5pm on Tuesday the 14th.

Pizza Doughnuts
Equipment
- 1 Weighing scales
- 1 mixing bowl
- 1 jug
- 1 measuring spoon
- 1 Lined baking tray
Ingredients
For the dough
- 200 g Plain flour
- 120 ml Warm water
- 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
- 7 g Fast action yeast
- 1 Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp sugar
For the Sauce
- 1 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 1 tbsp Oregano
- 1 Small pinch of sugar
For the toppings
- 200 g Cheddar / Mozzarella cheese mix or a Mozzarella ball
- Selection of your favourite pizza toppings
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 240 degrees/gas mark 8
- To a large mixing bowl add the flour and salt, and make a little well in the centre
- Add in the water, oil and fast-action yeast then mix together with a spoon
- Flour your hands and give the mixture a good knead, stretching the dough to let the yeast do its magic
- Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper
- split the dough into 4 dough balls
- roll each ball into a 6 inch sausage length
- make a doughnut shape joining the two edges
- Top the dough with tomato puree and a sprinkle of oregano
- Scatter on the cheese and then your favourite combination of toppings
- Turn the oven down to 180 degrees and bake your pizza doughnuts for 20 minutes
