Honey and soy Chicken traybake

Honey and soy Chicken traybake
Equipment
- 2 pairs of scissors
- 1 knife
- 2 chopping boards
- 1 Lined baking tray with greaseproof paper
- 1 Large Saucepan
- 1 colander
- 1 mixing bowl
- 1 Teaspoon Measure
- 1 Tablespoon measure
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 Tongs
Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast per person
- 4 spring onions chopped into thirds
- 1 yellow pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red pepper
- ½ tsp grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp honey
For the Noodles
- Dried egg noodles one nest per person
- 15 g cashews or peanuts roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Sweet chili Sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 tbsp water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven 180°C,
- We are going to start slicing our chicken with our scissors
- using your preferred method to slice our peppers and spring onion
- Add them to a large mixing bowl tossing the chicken, peppers and spring onions together with the ginger, garlic, soy sauce and ½ teaspoon sesame oil then place in a large baking tray.
- Cook in the oven for 10 minutes.
For the noodles
- Meanwhile, boil the noodles in boiling water for 4 minutes until just al dente.
- Drain then put them in a bowl and toss with 1 tbsp of sesame oil to stop them sticking together.
- To the noodles add a tbsp of oyster sauce, sweet chili sauce, honey and soy sauce
- and 4 tablespoons of water and mix them all together well to coat in the sauce.
- Remove your baking tray from the oven and carefully Tip the noodles into the roasting tin, using your tongs carefully to mix with the chicken, spring onions and peppers. Being mindful that the tray is hot!!!
- Scatter with the cashew nuts and cook for a further 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the veg are starting to soften.
- Serve steaming hot not forgetting to slurp up those noodles
