Equipment

  • 1 hand mixer
  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 Lined baking tray
  • 1 tablespoon

Ingredients
  

  • 80 g soft light brown sugar
  • 80 g caster sugar
  • 100 g unsalted butter soft
  • 1 medium free range egg
  • 270 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp oats
  • 100 g chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180c and line a flat baking tray with greaseproof paper
  • In a large bowl with an electric hand whisk cream together the butter and sugars
  • Crack in your egg and mix again
  • Pour in a teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix
  • Add the flour and mix until you have a crumbly cookie dough
  • Get your hands in and roll into 10 to 12 cookie dough balls
  • Place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven and bake for around 15 mins
