Preheat the oven to 180 degrees/160 degrees fan/gas mark 4.
Add the beef mince, garlic powder, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce to the bowl. Add a sprinkle of salt and pepper to season.
Get your (clean!) hands into the bowl and give everything a good mix.
Decide whether you want to make 4 larger or 8 smaller burgers. If you choose 4, you will just be including 1 burger in a bun. If you choose 8, you could include 2 in each bun to build a double cheeseburger.
Once you’ve decided, divide the meat mixture into 4 or 8. Roll each section into a ball.
On the baking tray, flatten the burgers down into patties and Place the baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven.
Cook for 25 minutes, flipping the burgers after 10 minutes.
While the burgers are cooking, make your BBQ sauce by adding all the ingredients to a small saucepan. Mix well, then allow the sauce to simmer on a low heat, stirring regularly. Wash the lettuce and Tear off as many lettuce leaves as you need.
5 minutes before the end of the cooking time, add the burger buns to the oven to toast. Place a slice of cheese on each of the burgers (or on 4 of them if you are cooking 8).
When the melty, cheesy burgers are cooked, dress them in a toasted bun on a bed of lettuce and tomato. Drizzle with your delicious barbecue sauce and enjoy!
