I had loads of pork leftover pork from Sunday lunch so I made a Chinese style rice with it ( this works with all types of left over meat) and is really handy for using up any leftover veg.
This is a dish I use time and time again for all leftover meat, it’s so quick and handy, and tastes like its come straight out of a Chinese restaurant.

Ingredients (serves 4)
- leftover meat
- 1/2 teaspoon of 5 Chinese spice,
- 1 tbsp soy sauce,
- 1 tbsp honey,
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce.
- 400 g long grain rice
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1-centimeter cubes grated fresh ginger
- 1 egg
- any veggies you may have for stir-frying
1, cubed the pork or any leftover meat and add it to 1/2 teaspoon of 5 Chinese spice , 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp oyster sauce.
2 boil rice according to the packet
3, in a large wok in a little Sesame oil fry 2 cloves of garlic, a little fresh ginger, onion ,
4, slice some veggies, carrot, pepper, mushroom ( what ever u have) add it to the pan
Stir-fry for a few mins
5, Put your veggies to the side of the wok and fry an egg on the other side.
6, break up the egg and stir it through your veggies
7, add your pork
8, drain and rinse your rice
9, give one final mix
10, season and serve X ❤
