Beck,s Chicken Karachi
500 grams of diced chicken
1 large onion finely diced
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
2 tsps of minced garlic
2 tsps of thinly slice ginger
1 and a half teaspoons of chilli powder ( depending on how hot you like it ,you could add less )
2-3 chillis (also optional if you don’t like it too spicy don’t chop them put them in whole for flavour
1tsp of cumin
2tsps of whole mixed spices which you toast and grind ,or 2tsps of Garam masala
Half teaspoon of turmeric
4tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 cup of water
Heat oil in a large pan over a medium heat
add onions and sauté until golden.
chuck in the ginger and garlic cook for about a minute.
Next add the chicken cook it down until the chicken it turns white.
add the spices and cook for 30 seconds constantly stirring the pan.
pour in half a cup of water to stop the spices burning and then add the tomatoes and chillis
cook for 30 minutes add salt to taste .
