Press Pizza

This is my simple Pizza dough made with the contents of the kitchen press. 
It’s such an easy workable dough that once you make it you will never order another pizza again. This is a fantastic recipe to get the kids stuck in with too. 
 You can use an everyday flat baking tray  or the bottom of a 9-inch cake tin, just make sure you line it with greaseproof paper so it doesn’t stick to the tray/ tin 
It’s important to preheat the oven to the 240c gas mark 8  and turn it down to180c, gas mark 4 just before the pizza goes in, that way the dough will cook really well (think how hot a pizza oven is)  
This dough will make Two 9 inch tin pizzas or one large baking tray

Equipment

  • Flat Baking Tray / 9-inch cake tin

Ingredients

  • 200 grams Plain flour
  • 2 TBSP Rapeseed or olive oil
  • 120 MLS warm water
  • 1 TPS Fast Action Yeast
  • 1 Pinch salt

For the Toppings

  • 1 TBSP tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 Pinch sugar
  • 200 Gram cheddar and mozzarera mixed grated cheese You can buy this in the same bag
  • Top with pepperoni, sweetcorn, salami, red pepper, A selection of your favourite toppings

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 240c gas mark 8, Then turn the oven down just before you put the pizza in
  • In a large mixing bowl, add flour and salt and make a little hole in the middle
  • Pour the water, Oil and fast Action yeast to the hole and mix all together with a spoon
  • Flour your hands and get them into the bowl and give a good knead
  • Flour work surface and give another good knead, stretching the dough to let the yeast do its magic
  • Line your tin/ tray with greaseproof paper
  • Roll out your dough to the same size as your tin and place it on to the greaseproof paper on the tray
  • Top with tomato puree, oregano and a pinch of sugar
  • Scatter with cheese and top with your favourite toppings
  • Oven bake for 30 mins checking after 20
