cream cheese tuna and pasta bake

Hey Lovelies

So I’ve yet to do the big food shop this and wanted to use up a few odds and ends before I restocked the fridge and cupboards.

Pasta bakes are a great way of reducing food waste and basically, anything goes with them, also once you have some meat and veggies

I know sometimes grabbing the jar can be so tempting but you can make loads of different homemade sauce combos like:

creamy tomato = pasta and creme fraiche

tomato = red pesto and passata

Italian tomato = oregano garlic and passata

spicy tomato = chili flakes and passata

creamy savory = creme fraiche and chicken stock cube

creamy cheesy = cream cheese, nutmeg, cheddar and parmesan

cream cheese, black pepper, and mushroom work really well with sliced cooked steak

(not into tuna?  cooked crispy bacon, ham, sliced steak or chicken  work just as well to its basically whatever you have in)

God I really need to do a full pasta bake post after that eh?

 Ingredients

  • 300g penne pasta
  • 1 tin of tuna 160g
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 cellary stalks
  • 2 tablespoons corn
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 200 ml,s hot chicken stock (cube)
  • a pinch of nutmeg, pepper, garlic salt and salt to season
  • 50 g parmesan
  • 100g mature cheddar

 

Method

(serves 4) you will need a saucepan, a pan, and an ovenproof dish

boil pasta  according to packet

Put your pan on a medium heat with a little oil or frylight

crush garlic and chop celery and add them to your pan along with the corn and fry for 5 mins

add tuna and mix

season with salt pepper a pinch of nutmeg and garlic salt

dollop in your cream cheese and loosen with hot chicken stock

transfer to an ovenproof dish and top with both cheese,s

wack under the grill or oven bake at 180 for 10 mins until cheese is melting and bubbling

garnish with a little fresh parsley
