Pirates cove liffey valley, Review and Giveaway

new toddler zone
pirate park lilsWe have always been fans of the pirates village  in Liffey valley and availed of a few Groupon deals,  on many’s a rainy day. That was before it  got a facelift  and changed over to the refurbished, updated Pirates cove…

So we were really excited to get an invite, to come and check out the newly kitted out toddler zone…(yippee)  I sometimes feel that the “toddler zone ” in play centres can be an afterthought… a few balls in a tiny soft play area.  something just to get us wrecked mamas  in the door, (fobbing us off with a tiny corner, just to get a coffee in peace ) with not much to keep the toddler,s stimulated. leaving us spending most of the time running after them, while they try to  sneak out to the older kids area… (and who would blame them)

I was really impressed with the new toddler zone area in the pirates cove pirate park lils 3Liffey valley… The area itself is huge and has loads of different activities  (some I have never seen in a play area before and I’ve been to loads)… from fairground  swings to  spinning stars ..  floating on air balls… (yum love theses) and to top it off the traditional ball pools and slides that “yum” was delighted to put to the test …

The staff were really child centred and friendly.( they seemed to really like kids which is always a plus in a play centre) They  checked the age of each child  before entering the toddler zone… older Siblings are allowed in, but only  to play with their younger brother or sister…  Also outside of the toddler zone there,s bouncy castles and a huge slide for the older guys all this is included in the €6 entrance fee

The pirate cove has loads more activities from pedal boats, to  ride on motorbikes and bubble rollers.. these are an extra cost, so maybe make a deal with the big kids before hand and let them know what your budget is.. (that way the spending won’t escalate out of control)

Overall we had a ball and yum still will ask me at random times “are we going to the pirate cove today? I would totally recommend it as a special treat, or if the kids are climbing the walls on a rainy day.

kids of all ages will have the time of their lives… We will be back to check out all the new kid’s activities,  coming  exclusive to the pirates cove..  ( I got a heads up on some   Virtual reality games  that are like nothing I’ve ever seen before..

This week I have a fantastic giveaway from the folks at the pirate cove.. so keep an eye on the facebook page …
