chicken and sweetcorn noodles

Hey yummy mummy,s and daddies,

Every kid I know loves noodles! But did you know the sachet packets are all sodium and oil and full of msg,s… that’s why kids love them!! This recipe is super easy with no hidden nasty s. Perfect for a quick lunch and you know exactly whats gone into them (i think they taste better than the instant one,s too)

have fun xx get messy xx oneyummymummy x

Ingredients (serves 4 children)healthy chicken noodles for kids

  • 2 packs of plain dried noodles
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • small tin of sweet corn
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 chicken stock cube (you can use the low salt one if you wish)

  1. Oven bake the chicken  at 180c gas mark 4 on a tray covering it with tin foil  for 25 mins (this way the chicken is tender and easy to chop, i also think the kids prefer it like this, rather than fried)
  2. soak the noddles in boiling water for 10 minutes after the 10 minutes drain and spray with a few sprays of olive oil and leave until the chicken is done
  3. chop chicken into small bite size pieces
  4. spray a pan with olive oil and put on a medium heat
  5. add the noodles, chicken and sweetcorn to the pan
  6. crumble over your stock cube, add garlic powder and soy sauce
  7. stir for 5 mins and serve!!!

easy peasy… and so tasty xx

  1. Great idea to do your own chicken noodles, because its shocking what they stick in processed foods and especially when you are feeding children, you don’t want masses of salt, sugar and weird chemicals!
This is lovely and easy, but you could add loads of other extras too, diced peppers, peas, chopped parsley 😉
